25 Apr 07 3I INFOTECH LIMITED board approves 1:1 Bonus and dividend

3i Infotech Limited has informed the Indian stock Exchanges that the Board of directors of 3i Infotech Limited, at the meeting held on April 25, 2007, approved the following 

1) Recommendation of dividend of Rs.2 per share
2) Increase of Authorised Equity Capital from Rs.1,500 million to Rs.3,000 million
3) Issue of Bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1
4) Employees Stock Option Scheme (ESOP’s)

These proposals are subject to statutory approval by the shareholders of 3i Infotech Limited in the ensuing AGM.

   Hi,
   I have bought 50 shares @ 298 on 30-Apr-2007. Has the company announced the date which will be considered to issue the bonus? Shall I buy some more shares of 3I, or will I miss the bonus date if I buy now? Please advice.

   @Hello There is no news about the record date yet. To the best of my knowledge the record date hasn’t been announced yet.

   @Jey Historically, the share prices tend to increase substantially before the bonus issue record date. I personally feel that selling just the day before the Ex-date would be the best strategy.

   Hi,

   I have bought 150 shares of 3i’infotech on 25th April & sale it out on 26th morning.Can I eligible to get the bonus ? If not,then If I buy & hold now before the record date,cam I get it ? Please advise.

   HI
   you wont get the bonus shares if your name does not figure on their register on the record date, which the company announces.

   bonus date is 28th August 07 and the price is nearly same @297 as was on 30th april 07 so it is time to buy and get bonus of 1:1 .. though price will fall to about 160= ex- bonus but still not a bad bargain I think and market is doun at this time.
   Any comment or guidance will be appreciated.
