04 Jun 07 After Kalaignar TV, its Jai Hind TV
After the DMK, which was recently in the news for planning to launch Kalaignar TV, it now seems to be the turn of its central ally, Congress which proposes to launch Jai Hind TV. Congress is preparing to launch its own TV news channels, in various states and languages in co-ordination with a group of NRI investors. Jai Hind TV seems to be congress’ pilot project which will be launched in Kerala, in the malayalam language, ahead of next month’s Assembly elections. Later, congress plans to launch Jai Hind TV, in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu and Bengali. Are we witnessing a large scale politicisation of Indian media?
