Air India IPO is slated to hit the markets after the merger process of Air India and Indian Airlines is completed. The merger of National Aviation Company of India Ltd (NACIL), the resultant company from the merger of Air India and Indian Airlines will offload 15% stake through the IPO, once the merger is fully completed and both the airlines are fully integrated. The new airline will fly both domestically and internationally under the brand name Air India. Air India IPO will help Air India raise funds and upgrade its fleet, thereby helping it take on competition from private airlines.
