27 Sep 07 State Trading Corporation of India Bonus Issue Postponed

The State Trading Corporation of India Bonus Issue has been postponed. State Trading Corporation of India which is a Government owned premier international trading house had earlier announced that the board of State Trading Corporation of India will consider an issue of bonus shares to the shareholders of State Trading Corporation of India in today’s board meeting. However, the board of State Trading Corporation of India has informed the stock exchanges that the board will consider the bonus issue in the next board meeting. The market gave a thumbs down to this decision and the shares of State Trading Corporation of India are now locked in the lower circuit.

18 Sep 07 Record Date for Jai Corp Stock Split and Bonus issue fixed

The Record Date for the Jai Corp Stock Split and Bonus issue has been fixed today. Jai Corp, in an announcement made today with the stock exchanges, said that the record date for both the Stock Split and Bonus issue has been fixed as 12 October 2007. As soon as the record date for Jai Corp Stock Split and Bonus issue announcement was made, the Jai Corp stock hit the upper circuit.

10 Sep 07 Lloyds Metals Stock Split approved

Lloyds Metals Stock Split : The shares of Lloyds Metals today hit the upper circuit after the company announced that the board of directors of Lloyds Metals have approved splitting the face value (Stock Split) of the company’s shares. 08 Aug 07 Jai Corp to issue Bonus Shares

Jai Corp has informed the stock exchanges that the board of directors of Jai Corp will meet tomorrow, Thursday 09 August 2007 to consider an issue of bonus shares to shareholders of Jai Corp. More details about the ratio of the bonus issue and the record date for the bonus issue will be available tomorrow after the board meeting is over. The shares of Jai Corp hit an all-time high and were locked in the upper circuit as soon as the announcement on bonus issue was made. A few days back Jai Corp had informed the stock exchanges that the board of directors of Jai Corp had approved the splitting of face value of the company’ shares (stock split) from 1 share of face value Rs. 10 each to 10 shares of face value Rs. 1 each. 16 Jul 07 Modern Steels to issue Bonus shares

Modern Steels has informed the stock exchanges that the board of Modern Steels will consider an issue of bonus shares to the shareholders of Modern Steels. The board of Modern Steels will meet on 24 July 2007. More details on the ratio of bonus issue and the record date will be available on 24 July 2007 after the board meeting ends. The share prices of Modern Steels went up by 20% following this announcement and the scrip was locked at the upper circuit.

13 Jun 07 Simplex Infrastructures wins new orders worth 1000 crores

Simplex Infrastructures has informed the stock exchanges that it has won two new orders worth more than Rs. 1000 crores. Simplex Infrastructures had won orders worth over Rs. 1055 crores last month. Its raining “new orders” for Simplex Infrastructures. As soon as the announcement was made public, the Simplex Infrastructures stock hit the 10% upper freeze.

31 May 07 TVS Electronics sells off unit

TVS Electronics, hit upper circuit today after it announced that it sold off its contract manufacturing services business. TVS Electronics sold its contract manufacturing services (CMS) business which is in Karnataka for a sale consideration of over Rs 41 crores to Finland’s Incap Corp. Reports suggest that Rs. 41 crores is an excellent price for selling the contract manufacturing services (CMS) business unit.

31 May 07 McDowell Holdings : Up 40% in 2 days

The newly listed scrip, McDowell Holdings has hit the 20% upper circuit again today. McDowell Holdings listed on NSE yesterday. McDowell Holdings hit the upper circuit yesterday morning and it remained frozen all day. The same thing took place today. McDowell Holdings hit the upper freeze in the opening bell and has remained locked in the upper circuit till now. The paid up capital of McDowell Holdings is only Rs 12.14 crore and hence the liquidity is very low in this counter.

23 Apr 07 Tanla Solutions limited announces excellent results, stock hits upper circuit

Tanla Solutions limited announced its FY 07 results today.  Tanla Solutions reported a 263% growth in consolidated total income. Total Income of Tanla Solutions for the year ended march 2007 was 229 crores compared to an income of 63 crores in FY06. Tanla Solutions profit grew by 207% for FY 2007. The net profit of Tanla Solutions for the year ended march 2007 stood at 93 crores compare to a net profit of Rs. 30 crores in the financial year ended march 2006.

Tanla Solutions ltd already paid an interim dividend of 100% (Rs.2 per share of face value Rs. 2) in march 2007. The dividend for the previous year was only 25%. Following excellent results, the shares of Tanla Solutions hit the upper circuit after the announcement was made. The shares of Tanla Solutions remained locked at the upper circuit till the closing bell. At the closing bell, Tanla solutions had outstanding buyers for 117349 shares with no sellers.

19 Apr 07 Atlanta Limited locked in the bottom circuit

After being locked at the bottom circuit yesterday, the shares of real estate company Atlanta Limited were locked at the bottom circuit at opening bell today. There were pending sell orders of over 44000 shares, with no buyers available. The trading volume was 10000 shares. With interest rates rising, one wonders how many more bottom circuits real estate companies like Atlanta will hit in the coming days.
