23 Jul 07 Central Bank IPO opens for subscription

The Central Bank IPO opens for subscription tomorrow. The issue size of central bank IPO is around 800 crores. It makes sense to apply in the central bank IPO instead of the Zylog IPO or the Omnitech IPO because since the issue size of central bank IPO is large, getting allotment will be easier. Further many leading banks and other strategic investors are likely to use the IPO to take a stake in central bank of India which has the third largest bank network in India.

    hi Bullish…
most of my funds are stuck in the other IPOs. Am waiting for the refunds / allotments to come thru. What r the chances of allotment if I dont apply for maximum shares in central bank IPO?? Or should I just buy some more of DLF from secondary market ;)

How do you people find the current subscription level of any IPO ? Please help.

    Hi Shailesh,
go to NSE website and click on the IPO u r interested in then on the top of that page you will find a View:NSE-BSE demand graph. When u go to that link it will give you the no of shares applied for by investors. For a rough estimate of the retail category look at the bids at cut-off, since about 90% retail investors apply at cut-off and this option is only for retail so you can get a fair estimate.
    Hope this helps
    Vishal
