31 Aug 07 GMR Infrastructure fixes record date for stock split
GMR Infrastructure has informed the stock exchanges that the board of GMR Infrastructure has fixed the record date for the stock split. The record date for the GMR Infrastructure stock split is 08 October 2007. On the record date, the face value of the shares of GMR Infrastructure will be split from 1 share of face value Rs. 10 each to 5 shares of face value Rs. 2 each.

Does the record date October 8th,2007 mean that all the shareholders of GMRI who have purchased the share before 8th Oct. will be eligible for this stock split?
Also, how is this stock split beneficial to the shareholder?

TODAY I FOUND THAT THE GMINFRA SHARE PRICE REDUCED FROM 854/- TO 169/-.I THINK IT IS DUE TO SPLIT OF SHARES .ME EARLIER SHARES WERE 50.IT IS STILL SAME.WHY SHARES HAS NOT INCREASED AT THE SAME TIME.PL LOOK INTO IT

The share price of GMR infracture has drastically reduced to 173 from 850, whether it is due to split of shares.

you have mentioned the date ofstok split is 8-10-2007 ,but on 28th sept, the cost reduced it meenes the record date is 28th or 8th oct pl give correct date.

@Sudhakar – The share split will automatically reflect in your demat account. You don’t have to do anything
I have 50 GMRI shares. when will my share stock show the correct figures after the split.
at present my acconts shows a dr. balance in the account becase of the share value coming down and the stock not rising.
