25 Apr 07 HDFC Bank Results and Dividend

Banking major, HDFC Bank announced its quaterly results for the quarter ended March 2007. HDFC Bank posted a net profit of Rs. 343.6 crores in the quarter ended March 2007, up 30.5% compared with Rs. 263.2 crores for the same quarter in the previous fiscal (ie.) quarter ended March 2006. Total Income of HDFC Bank increased to Rs. 2384.2 crores in the quarter ended March 2007Ã‚Â as against Rs. 1682.6 crores in the same quarter in the previous fiscal (ie.) quarter ended March 2006.

The Board of directors of HDFC Bank have recommended a dividend of Rs. 7 per share. The dividend is subject to statutory approval by the shareholders of HDFC Bank in the ensuing AGM.
