hello sir,
i had applied for 14 shares of HDIL and got full allotmnent of 14 shares. Whereas my friend who also had also applied for 14 shares didnt get a single share alloted to him.

could you explain how this happened??

also plz comment on the exit price for HDIL on listing date

The allotment and refunds have been credited to my ICICI account. I applied for 140 shares (Rs. 70,000) and was allotted 113 shares. (Rs. 56,500)

You said “all retail investors who have applied for 28 shares or more in the HDIL IPO will receive firm allotment” – how did you arrive at the number 28.. what’s the math involved?

I think you have pretty good chance of allotment, since retail category oversubscrived by only 1.59 times. I applied for max 196 shares, so I will get 123 (196/1.6) shares in firm allotment.

Sorry for the wrong question, I just confused 28 shares, with shares worth 28 thousand.

I’ve actully applied for 42 (worth 21k ) shares. According to you I should get a firm allotment.

Can you please explain the theory behind this ?
