19 May 07 Larsen and Toubro (L&T) bags new order

Larsen and Toubro (L&T), a leading Indian construction and infrastructure development company, has informed the Indian stock exchanges that it has received two new orders cummulatively worth Rs. 412 crores. The order details are as under

1. New order worth Rs. 332 crores for a lift irrigation project, awarded to Larsen and Toubro (L&T) and its Joint Venture partner Kirloskar Brothers by the state Government of Andhra Pradesh.
2. Another new contract worth Rs. 80 crores from Rashtriya Ispat Nigam (RINL) for executing civil works in the Visakhapatnam steel plant.
