29 May 08 L&T Bonus – Larsen & toubro Bonus Issue approved
Larsen & toubro Bonus Issue news was the reason for the stock beating the broader market by a huge margin. The share prices of L&T were up by about 6% when the broader market closed deep in the red. The bonus shares will be issued in the ratio of 1 : 1 (1 bonus share for every 1 share held). The record date for L&T Bonus Issue is likely to be announced sometime in June. L&T being my favourite scrip, I’ll closely monitor this counter and keep you guys posted on the updates relating to the issue of bonus shares to the shareholders.

Should we pick up L&T at this stage …
becoz my exp with stock split is poor …
Infact bonus issue is nothing but a split … however accounting is done on different perpective.
My exp says … before record date the proce gradually moves up – say price of a stock is 100 and it is announce for a split(1:1). its price moves upto say 110. After split the price goes down to 50 and not 55+ … thus one looses if investment is done before split.

wat is the ex bonus date for L&T ?? wl i be legible for a bonus shares if i bought some today??

specially for today gail and l&T.
