16 Jul 07 Omaxe IPO opens for Subscription today
Omaxe IPO opens for subscription today. The IPO issue size of Omaxe IPO is around 550 crores. This means oversubscription levels would be reasonable and hence allotment will also be reasonable, unlike many IPO’s in the recent past, which got subscribed heavily and hence left investors with NIL or low allotment. The price band for the Omaxe IPO is Rs. 256 to Rs. 310 per share. The Omaxe IPO closes for subscription on friday. Ensure you submit your applications by 3 o clock on friday to give your broker sufficient time to upload the bids on the NEAT / BOLT IPO terminal.

what is your take on OMaxe… somehow the promotors listed in RDHP looks dicey….
I have around 50,000 rupees. I am planning to aplly for Zylog,Omnitech,Omax. What should be the strategy? Whether i should keep in one or all the three? Which ipo i can go for then?

you invest all 50k in omaxe. Be happy with whatever return you get in omaxe.
There will be lottery in zylog and omnitech
where even 1 Lac application may get by chance.
Only apply for Omax.
What would be the listing value of OMAXE IPO?
No use of applying in OMAX IPO as it is going to get over-subscribed by by over 30 times in retail section. So just wait for bank of india IPO and slam your hard earned in it to benefit from listing gains.
@Malu – If I were in your situation, I would personally prefer investing the entire amount of Rs. 50,000 in the Omaxe IPO.
@Sandeep – I guess quality of promoters and stuff matters only if you are a long term investor. I’m in it for listing gains and hence I don’t think the quality of promoters of Omaxe Limited matters.

@ Omaxe IPO got heavily oversubscribed and hence allotment has been low. Its nice of ICICI Direct to provide SMS alerts on allotment. Hope other brokerage firms also provide similar IPO allotment alerts.
