20 Jul 07 Omaxe IPO Subscription Details : Huge Listing Gains likely
The Omaxe IPO closed for subscription today. The Omaxe IPO has performed very well and was particularly a huge hit with institutional investors. Overall, the Omaxe IPO has been subscribed by 68.34 times (oversubscribed 67.34 times). The retail investor category in the Omaxe IPO got subscribed by a little less than 14 times (oversubscribed by about 13 times). Institutional investor category in the Omaxe IPO has fared exceedingly well and has been subscribed by a whooping 95.32 times (oversubscribed 94.32 times) and the High Networth Individual category has been subscribed by over 81 times (oversubscription ratio : 80.16 times).
Omaxe IPO is likely to provide excellent listing gains to investors who are lucky enough to get allotment and decide to sell their holdings on the Listing Date as soon as Omaxe lists on the stock exchanges. Retail investors who applied for the maximum number of shares in the Omaxe IPO will receive a firm allotment. The listing date of Omaxe Limited is likely to be somewhere in the second week of August. Omaxe Limited will list both on the National stock exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange. 2) I assume that most retail investors might have applied for firm allotment, so supposing 12 times is for maximum no of shares resulting in just 26 shares????

Those who applied for 320 shares, will get 23 shares.
300 shares will get 21 shares.
Even 280 shares will get 20 shares.
Excluding greenshoe option.
But there is one problem which is giving me sleepless nights: The premium in grey market for omaxe is just Rs 70 ! Any comments about this bullish?
The premium for Omaxe in the grey market has now gone upto 420-310=110. An offering at a PE ratio of 20-21 is a steal compared to DLF which was almost 46 times. In fact its a good idea to buy omaxe even after it lists. As for me, I applied for Non Institutional and chances of me getting an allotment are extremely low
@Anup – That’s good news. But, with the Omaxe IPO heavily oversubscribed even a premium of Rs. 110 looks low.
@Aditya – No matter what day you apply in an IPO, your chances of getting allotment will remain teh same. Since yoyu applied only for 2 lots in the Omaxe IPO, you will not get firm allotment. You will get allotment through lottery system. Good luck to you. Hope yiou get allotment.

If u want to undestand the concept behind alloment of shares in an IPO,,,just refer IPO allotment document published by the recently listed companies.
For Example,
1) DLF retail portion got subscribed 0.96 times and everyone got firm allotment
2) Vishal retail got suscribed heavily and hence those who applied for 1 Lakh also fell under the lottery system.
So IF we can need to judge how much the IPO will get subcribed, we can apply for the exact no of lot

if u r lucky u might get 40 shares in draw
one person can apply only once in an ipo even though he may be holding several demat accounts
those who applied for 280 shares or more will get confirm 20 shares
other will get through draws
LETS HOPE THE allotment is done sooer… more good IPO’s are coming now… and the way the market has tanked. lets hope the listing gain would cotinue…

Can anyone tell me whether to go for Purvankara IPO or not. I m getting confused as getting mixed review about this IPO?
I am going for it with “calculated risk theory” that -
1) if market sentiment improves, it may give about 20% listing gains.
2) if it remain same as of today, it shall give about 10% listing gains.
3) if sentiments deteriorate further it will give 10-20% listing deficit and I shall be able to handle that much.
The same theory I wish to apply for asian granito, provided that moderator mr bullish bhai gives his opinion to my dilema posted under SEL IPO.
