Reliance Power Limited IPO DRHP has just been filed with SEBI a few days ago. The price band for the Reliance Power IPO has not yet been fixed. However, grey market trading (speculation) on reliance power ipo has started already. Reliance Power IPO is quoting a grey market premium of around Rs. 25 in the ahmedabad grey market. If Reliance Power IPO is priced at reasonable valuations, the IPO has the potential to become a huge hit and provide excellent listing gains to investors. Reliance Power Limited IPO will have a part payment option for retail investors. If the IPO looks likely to be heavily subscribed, retail investors will take advantage of the part payment option to apply in the Reliance Power IPO.

Price band:405-450 date 15 jan - 18 Jan 08
One lot 15 shares, Retail investor can apply Rs.1 lakh max. It means in 15 share per lot you can apply 14 lots @450 i.e. 14*15*450=Rs.94500
But Retail investor can opt partial pmt option also. In this you have to give Rs. 25875 instead of Rs 94500 for 210 shares But in that case you will get the allotment 1or 2 week after listing of shares.

My experience has been that part-payment should be avoided as much as possible. If you have decided to go for a trade, try to get the whole lot at the earliest. Now the Rel Power IPO has gone to a great start, and the next 100 days will decide which newer price band it touches. Either way, this is an infrastructure stock, so it will get both good and bad news as the projects beging to happen. Its a big project!

Small investors like me have been badly hit.
There is reason to believe that Reliance Power IPO’s lacklustre listing was a handiwork of vested interests, which targeted someone else but managed to harm the interests of the genuine investors.
Instead of giving hope and solace to the worried investors, why was the key financial media ‘talking down the market’ every morning before market hours so as to ensure a depressed market sentiment right from the very beginning of every trading day during the period?
Investors want to know why all Reliance ADAG scrips were drastically hit and hammered even though they belonged to unrelated sectoral groups. Perhaps the role of the rival company should be examined in order to see if there was any collusion between the rival group executives and tainted brokers, who are adept at market manipulation.
The investigating agencies can definitely check whether the manipulation was done from India or abroad. Records could give an indication whether rival camp executives, brokers and international bearish market manipulators met abroad in order to rig the downfall of the market.

the company will set a record date for issue of bonus shares. whoever has shares on that particular day will be considered as share holder and will recieve bonus shares.during the record date period delivery of shares to the stock exchange will not be allowed so that the registrar can determine who the share holders are.for reliance power bonus shares, the record date has not yet been set. it is likely to be about a month from now and it is announced in advance.bullish bhai, please correct me if iam wrong.

No reply has been received to my above complaint No.138 as yet.
I had applied 225 shares of Reliance Power IPO on 16/01/2008 but till date no alottemtn/refund has been received inspite of my several e;mails/letters to Kary & Reliance. The details are given below:

Dear Sir,
This is to inform you that me, Rajesh Kumar had applied for 15 Reliance Power IPO and the same was alloted to me. I had applied on the basis of partly payment ie. Rs. 1725/ and after allotment I paid Rs. 4725/, Which was demanded by the Karvy and the same deducted from my a/c.
Sir till date these 15 shares are not showing in my account.
Sir please sort out my problem ASAP and inform me either by phone or from E.mail which is provided in this mail.
