I stumbled across a website called SafeBreeder which has an article titled “The Economics of Puppy Mills”. The article highlights various issues related to animal rights and the inhumane way in which the animals in puppy mills are treated. With an estimated 500,000 dogs being born in puppy mills every year in the U.S. alone, this is a cause of serious concern. So in case you are planning to get a new dog, please do not buy from one of these puppy mills.
