29 May 07 Unitech to issue bonus shares
Leading real estate company Unitech has informed the stock exchanges that the board of Unitech has recommended a bonus issue of shares (also known as stock dividend) in the ratio of 1 : 1 (1 bonus share for every 1 share held). The board of Unitech has also recommended an equity dividend of 50 paise per share. The board of Unitech has decided to increase the authorised share capital to Rs. 500 crore to accommodate the increase in paid up capital of Unitech after the bonus issue.

I have bought 25 Unitech shares @ 561 on 21-May-07. I would like to know:
1. Has Unitech announced the record date for Bonus?
2. Since the time DLF IPO has opened, the Unitech share price has been going down. I am just curious to know what are the near-term expectations if any, for the price. I am expecting an increase in share price around the time DLF gets listed. Is this correct?

As the landbanks and developing area of both unitech & dlf is same ..
U can expect upward movement in unitech if dlf list with premium
on comparison with dlf on upper price band of 525 unitech looks cheaper even on price of 625
coz face value of unitech is 10 rs n dlf is 2 rs
so hold for target of minimum 700 +

@Rakesh – You need to buy shares before the ex bonus date to be eligible for the bonus issue. Ex bonus date usually falls 1 or 2 days before the record date.

I have one query on Unitech Bonus issue. I have 40 Unitech shares On NSE. Whether am i eligible for bonus issue. WHy because some of my friends are saying that persons who have shares on BSE only will get bonus shares.Is it true? Plz let me know the answer for my query.

@Anil – That is not true. No matter what exchange you buy, you will get the bonus issue. So you will get the bonus shares if you had the shares of Uniteh on the record date for the bonus issue.

secondly i want 2 ask dat how many days before of record date we are eligible 4 dat ,,,means jst like d record date is 31 august now and if i buy shares now den also i vil b eligible 4 dat or not?
further more if it is going 2 split also ?/

Sure you are eligible for Bonus, now also if you buy, you will be eligible for bonus, the record date is on 31st of this month, which means the shares should be transferred to your till the 31st of this month.

hi bullish, u ve not updated the bonus issue of unitech! please let us know when the splitted share will be credited to our account as it is already trading half the value.

as i have brought some unitech shares before record which value have slashed to half. if i sold them now, will i be eligible to get the bonus shares.
also please let me know what is the benifit of this bonus since its price fell 50%.
