13 Jun 07 Vishal Retail IPO Subscription Details : Vishal Retail allotment status and listing

The subscription for Vishal Retail IPO has ended. Vishal Retail IPO has performed extremely well and has literally stolen the show from the much hyped DLF IPO. Vishal Retail IPO has been subscribed by a whooping 65 times (oversubscribed 64 times). Retail category has been subscribed by more than 50 times (oversubscribed by 49.4 times). Hence only 2 out of 7 applicants who applied for 350 shares of vishal retail limited will receive allotment. Though those lucky to get allotment can expect huge listing gains, the chances of getting allotment is extremely low. All investors who applied in the Vishal Retail IPO will get allotment only by lottery system. No matter how many shares applied for, firm allotment won’t be made. Institutional investor category in the Vishal Retail IPO has been subscribed by 45.55 times (oversubscribed 44.55 times) and the High Networth Individual category has been subscribed by a whooping 311 times (yes, you read it right, it is indeed 311 times!)

I feel Vishal Retail Limited will have an excellent listing and will provide good listing gains for those who are lucky enough to get allotment of shares. The listing date of  Vishal Retail Limited is likely to be somewhere in the first week of July. Vishal Retail Limited will list both on the NSE and the BSE. Investors who have invested in the Vishal Retail IPO can expect to receive the IPO refund in the fourth week of June through ECS. Allotment is likely to be made a few days before the listing date. The allotment status of Vishal Retail IPO and the details for checking the allotment status online will be posted here as soon as they are available.

please tell me abou ecs system?
Is money directly deposited in dmat a/c or elswhere ?

ECS Stands for electronic clearance system. Instead of sending cheques, the funds are transferred electronically thus saving time and effort. ECS is more secure since when cheques are used there are possibilities of losing the cheque in transit and so on.
To enable ECS you need to contact your DP and give your ECS details.
Through ES you will not get the funds to your demat account. The funds will directly be credited to the bank account which is attached to your demat account.

@ limbuwala – I guess it should take 2 days atleast. I have applied for 350 shares in the vishal retail IPO and have decided to give stop payment if I apply for the DLF IPO tomorrow. I will decide after looking at the DLF IPO subscription stats tomorrow afternoon.

  6. |

@ SArfraz – Do you mean softwares or online ones like the one provided by moneycontrol?

  7. |

Thanks dear, I need software and what are your opinion abt dlf

  8. |

I think Roman Tarmat is better than dlf

    Hi Bullish,
you mentioned “I will decide after looking at the DLF IPO subscription stats tomorrow afternoon”
Can you please guide me as to where can we check these details in the afternoon. I normally use the NSE website but they update the data only after day close, which, in this is case will be too late.
    Thx
    Vishal

    Hi,

I applied for Vishal Retail and DLF for 350 and 180 respectively. What is the probability of getting how much allotment in each and secondly when can we expect refund in both. Last what price DLF IPO Listing would be. Thanks

  11. |

@ Gopal – For Vishal Retail the probability of allotment is 0.29 and for DLF the probability of allotment is 1 (full allotment)

    hi bullish,
i’m very new to market and had applied for time technoplast and nelcast first time. when i didnt get anything from time tech i searched for the reason. why? fortunately i came across this blog and found i had violated atleast 2 out of 8 rules u suggest for ipo application. however it was great learning experience and learned much more about trading/ipo, courtesy bullish. i thank you for the great help u r providing to new comers.
i’ve one question. since i’m based in dubai i cannot use stop payment option (which most useful in ur 8 rules) as i use online. i have applied for 150 shares of vishal, cud u tell what is chances for allocation to me?
thnx, will appreciate ur earliest reply. plz send a copy to my email also.

@alam – Thanks for your kind words. The chances of getting allotment in the vishal retail IPO are extremely low. If you do get allotment it means you are very very lucky. I applied for 350 shares in the vishal retail IPO and I don’t expect allotment. I didnt give stop payment because I had surplus funds and I thought I wud give it a shot instead of just having funds locked up in my savings account.

    Hi Bullish,
I got a news like below… Looking for Your comment (Based on your always great analysis):

On listing date, Vishal would be available around 550 and within 2-3 days it reach 800-900
and its having 1 year target of 1100. Rakesh junjunwala is intrested in vishal so it may touch 900 level in 2-3 days if market is good at listing time…

  15. |

Nice to hear that. Lets wait and let the market forces decide the listing price of Vishal. However, getting allotment is very tough
